Cardi B praises clever coronavirus mural painted by Dublin artist

Cardi B has responded to a mural of herself painted by a Dublin street artist which highlights social distancing in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The painting of the New York rapper on a wall in Tallaght encourages the public to "Be Careful" and keep to the two-metre social distancing rule.

The mural, painted by Emmalene Blake, features the outspoken star who recently posted a viral video of herself frantically talking about the dangers of "coronaviiirus".

Emmalene wrote:"If you're not sure how far two metres is, don't worry Cardi B got you."

Cardi, 27, seemed to approve as she reposted the image to her own Instagram account, writing: "Ireland take quarantine serious" alongside laughing emojis.

Emmalene's previous works have featured other well-known faces including Bray boxing champ Katie Taylor and murdered young journalist Lyra McKee.

Her beautiful tribute to Katie Taylor appeared outside The Back Page pub in Phibsborough after the fighter became lightweight champion of the world last year.

Emmalene shared a picture of the finished work on Instagram with the simple caption: "Undisputed!"

Blake also created a poignant mural in Belfast in tribute to murdered journalist Lyra McKee.

The image of Ms McKee was painted alongside the words of a powerful letter she wrote to her 14-year-old self.
