Anyone who has ever purchased a bottle of ketchup will know that somewhere on the back of the label, it says to refrigerate once opened and consume within so many days.
But one very famous face has just taken to Twitter to admit that she completely ignores this storage advice every time she buys tomato sauce.
Rapper Cardi B shared a tweet on Friday evening, calling out people who keep their ketchup in the fridge.
She said: "People who put their ketchup in the fridge are not to be trusted.
"Like imagine cold a** ketchup on your f***ing eggs. That s*** really p***es me the f*** off."
Understandably her 6.7 million followers were shocked by the post and it quickly sparked a debate.
More than 29,000 people liked it and over 5,000 retweeted but many told the star she was wrong.
"Girl ketchup has to stay in the fridge once opened..." replied one confused user.
"You're supposed to refrigerate it after you open it," wrote another.
A third person was really outraged by the notion: "I'm sorry but I can't eat a hot a** hot dog with hot a** ketchup.. that's not normal."
Someone else commented: "What? Who doesn't put ketchup in their fridge?"
"Cold ketchup with hot out the oven fries is life, sis," added a fourth.
Others were left feeling sick over the thought of "room temp ketchup".
However some people agreed with Cardi.
"Mine says 'for best results...' but I don't let Hunts dictate what I do with my ketchup," proclaimed a different user.
But none of the comments had any impact on the mum-of-one's preferred storage method for the stuff - in fact she even went on to say that she doesn't put hot sauce or syrup in the fridge either.
"Cold hot sauce really p***es me the f*** off too," she added. "I hate cold hot sauce on fried chicken.
"But you know what's more annoying than cold a** ketchup? Cold refrigerated pancake syrup."
