Never one to shy away from a bold fashion choice, singer Cardi B arrived at Chanel's SS20 Paris Fashion Week show on Tuesday modelling the same tweed outfit that Cara Delevingne wore during Karl Lagerfeld's final collection for the fashion house in March this year.
The outfit is from Chanel's autumn/winter 2019 collection and consists of a tweed coat, jacket, co-ordinating trousers, scarf, fedora hat, and a belt adorned with the Chanel logo. As they say, the devil is in the detail.
The total cost for the outfit comes to a cool £21,400, with the coat alone retailing for £7,620. All of the co-ordinating separates are available to buy.
Delevingne first modelled the look during the fashion house's Paris Fashion Week show at the Grand Palais in March this year, which was the last collection Lagerfeld designed before his death on February 19 at the age of 85.
During the autumn/winter 2019 show, which had a 'Winter Wonderland' theme, attendees and models, including Delevingne and actresses Kristen Stewart and Penelope Cruz, took part in a minute's silence in memory of the designer, who spent over 30 years at the helm of the brand.
As the models took to the catwalk for the finale, Delevingne led the charge as the audience offered a standing ovation.
Today Virginie Viard, Lagerfeld's successor, showcased her first ready-to-wear collection for the fashion house, where she has been employed for a total of 32 years, and of which she took the reins in February this year.
During the show's finale, an unwanted gatecrasher took to the catwalk to join the parade of models, who Gigi Hadid promptly blocked from stepping on to the main stage.
