NAGOYA -- A life-size C62 steam locomotive cardboard model has attracted railway enthusiasts and others to the entrance of the Chukyo TV building in Nakamura Ward, Nagoya.

The C62 model was created by cardboard artist Hideo Shima of Minamishimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture.

Shima assembled the 22-meter-long, 4-meter-tall, 3-meter-wide train using 3,000 cardboard parts he produced.

"I was amazed by the faithful recreation of the wheels' curve line and mechanical parts," said a 74-year-old railway fan from Kariya, Aichi Prefecture. "It's incredible that he did so much with cardboard."

The train is on display from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until Sunday. Admission is free.
