Caravan and two cars torched outside Scots home as police launch appeal

A caravan and two cars were deliberately set on fire outside a Scots home as police appeal for information.

Emergency services responded to the incident on Ashgill Road, Glasgow at 1.58am on Tuesday 22 June.

The fire brigade were able to extinguish the fire on all of the vehicles as well as the exterior of a two-storey property.

There were no casualties as a result of the blaze.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.58am on Tuesday, June 22 to reports of two cars and a caravan on fire at Ashgill Road, Glasgow.

“Operations Control mobilised three appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting three private vehicles and the exterior of a two-storey property.

“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”

It remains unclear who was responsible for setting the caravan and cars alight, leaving them heavily damaged.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police enquiries are ongoing after a deliberate fire outside a house on Ashgill Road, Glasgow around 2am on Tuesday, 22 June.

"A caravan and two cars were badly damaged, however no-one was injured. Anyone with information should contact 101 with reference number 0267 of 22 June."
