Caravan and plush BMW destroyed in fire attack outside Ayrshire home

A caravan and plush car have been destroyed in a blaze outside an Ayrshire house.

Police have launched an investigation after the BMW X6 and mobile home were torched outside a property on Stratholm Terrace in Newmilns at around 9pm on Thursday.

Both the motor and the caravan were ruined with fire crews called in to extinguish the blaze.

A statement from Police Scotland reads: "Officers in East Ayrshire are appealing for information after a fire which destroyed a car and a caravan in Newmilns.

"The incident happened around 9pm on Thursday, November 25 on Stratholm Terrace.

"Both the BMW X6 car and the caravan were located on a driveway outside the property.

"The fire, which is being treated as deliberate, was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 3525 of 25 November. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
