The Newcastle United squad and members of the coaching staff celebrate in a team picture after the Carabao Cup Final between Liverpool and Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium on March 16, 2025 in London, England.

The Carabao Cup has provided thrilling entertainment in recent seasons and the 2025/2026 competition is shaping up no differently, so FourFourTwo is here with all the broadcast information you need to watch every game live.

The Carabao Cup – also known as the English Football League Cup, or EFL Cup – is English football's secondary cup competition. Unlike the FA Cup, which extends way down the footballing pyramid, the EFL Cup is limited to the teams in the top four divisions, from the Premier League down to League Two.

We're now at the quarter-final stage with eight teams remaining and four games to be played this week (December 16 and 17) and next week (December 23).

Reigning champions Newcastle are still in the mix and play Fulham on Wednesday, while Man City play Brentford on the same day and Premier League leaders Arsenal play FA Cup champions Crystal Palace next week.

But the quarter-finals kick off on Tuesday December 16 as Cardiff City – the only non-Premier League side left, and in the third tier of League One no less – host Chelsea.

In this guide, we'll show you how to watch Carabao Cup live streams in the UK, US, and around the world, and how you can use a VPN to tune in while you're abroad.

In the UK, public broadcaster ITV has been handed the rights to select fixtures, which you can watch on terrestrial TV or on the ITVX free streaming service. In the quarter-finals, Newcastle vs Fulham and Arsenal vs Crystal Palace are live and for free with ITV.

How to watch the Carabao Cup from abroad

Chances are you'll find yourself overseas when some Carabao Cup games are taking place, but does that mean you have to miss the action? No, it doesn't... a VPN will ensure you get your coverage from anywhere.

Carabao Cup live streams are geo-restricted on all streaming services, but a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a neat way around this, unpicking the geo-locks by altering your device's digital location. It's great for accessing your usual streaming services while on the move, and it does wonders for your internet security, too.

NordVPN is the best, so say our good friends across the office at TechRadar.
