32 teams will make it into the third round of the Carabao Cup, with a draw that will be confirmed following the conclusion of Arsenal’s second round clash with West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Newport County, Southampton, Newcastle United and Burnley are among four other teams who might not make it through to the next round of the competition as their respective second round ties also take place on Wednesday night.
Unlike the Gunners, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham have all automatically qualified for the next round.
Although Mikel Arteta could ring the changes for his side’s clash with the Baggies, he is expected to still field a strong line-up, especially as the Gunners have no European football to contend with this season.
Coming off the back of two damaging defeats in the Premier League to Brentford and Chelsea, Arteta will be hoping his side can get their confidence back with a much-needed win.
