Newcastle United face Tranmere Rovers in round two of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Eddie Howe is expected to ring the changes for the clash at the League Two side, although Newcastle are still overwhelming favourites to reach the third round.
Although it's not yet been confirmed, the third round draw is expected to take place following the Magpies' game on the Wirral. The match kicks-off at 7:45pm and will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, with the draw expected to follow.
If Newcastle avoid a banana skin, then they will be in the draw, where teams who are involved in European competition this season - Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham United - enter the tournament.

The third round ties will take place on the week commencing November 7. The third round normally takes place at the end of September, but the competition schedule has had a slight change due to the World Cup taking place in Qatar this winter. Ball numbers for the third round draw haven't yet been confirmed, although the draw will not be regionalised.

- Round Five – w/c January 9, 2023
- Semi Final first leg – w/c January 23, 2023
- Semi Final second leg – w/c January 30, 2023
- Final – February 26, 2023.
