The second round draw for the Carabao Cup will take place at Salford City’s Peninsula Stadium on Tuesday, August 13, it has been confirmed.
Televised live on Sky Sports, Laura Woods will host the draw following the conclusion of Salford City’s Round One clash with Leeds United.
The winning teams from the first round will be joined in the hat for the second round by the 13 Premier League sides not involved in European competitions, alongside Championship duo Cardiff City and Fulham.
Among those entering the draw are Newcastle United, Leicester City and Aston Villa, with the seven remaining top-flight clubs beginning their involvement from the third round.
Sunderland take on Accrington Stanley in the first round tomorrow night, with the winners going to in the northern section of the round two draw.
The second round draw will be regionalised into North and South sections, with fixtures scheduled to take place on the week commencing August 26.
