Arsenal are facing a season full of firsts after their eighth-placed finish in the Premier League last term.
For the first time in over two decades, the Gunners won't be competing in any form of European competition. That means no Champions League, Europa League or even the newly-created Europa Conference League football will be on show at the Emirates Stadium next season.
As a result, Mikel Arteta's side's calendar for the 2021/22 campaign will look slightly different.
Perhaps the biggest difference is that a Carabao Cup second-round tie has been pencilled in for the first time in over 20 years.
Arsenal are used to entering at the third round stage, but having not qualified for Europe, they must enter a round earlier and detalis for the second round draw have been confirmed.
The first-round action gets underway this week, with ties to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (August 10 and 11).
Although, Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town are already through after beating MK Dons and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.
With that said, here is everything you need to know about the draw.
When is the Carabao Cup second round draw?
The draw for the second round will take place on Wednesday night (August 11).
It will be conducted live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Leyton Orient's first-round tie with Queens Park Rangers, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
