When is the Carabao Cup draw? Start time, quarter-final teams, Man Utd, City and Liverpool ball numbers

The Carabao Cup reaches the business end this week as 16 teams are whittled down to eight ahead of the quarter-finals.

Liverpool are in the hat after an astounding 5-5 draw with Arsenal, with Divock Origi equalising in the 93rd minute to force penalties. Dani Ceballos missed the decisive spot kick.

Marcus Rashford scored twice, the second a 35-yard free kick, to down Chelsea as Manchester United won at Stamford Bridge. Aston Villa beat Wolves 2-1.

On Tuesday, defending champions Manchester City earned a routine 3-1 victory over Southampton as Sergio Aguero marked his 350th game for the club with a goal.

Everton also beat Premier League opposition with a 2-0 win over struggling Watford. High-flying Leicester won 3-1 at League One's Burton Albion.

Elsewhere, Oxford United beat fellow League One side Sunderland on penalties as Colchester United won 3-1 at Crawley Town in a match between two League Two sides to reach the last eight for the first time 45 years.

When is the quarter-final draw?

The draw for the quarter-final will be at 8.45am on Thursday, October 31.

David James will be on hand to conduct the draw on 'The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show' on BBC Radio 2.

The ties will be played on the week commencing December 16.
