Excitement is building ahead of the 2019/20 season and the Carabao Cup is the first piece of silverware available domestically for the 92 Premier League and EFL clubs.
Since coming under new sponsorship in energy drink firm Carabao, the draw for the competition has gone all over the world, including the Far East, and the unfamiliar trend of venues continues for the first round of the 2019/20 campaign.
The draw for the first round will come live from Morrisons, Colindale at 7pm on Thursday 20 June, the draw will take place within a short distance from Wembley Stadium – the home of the Carabao Cup Final.
Former Liverpool ace John Barnes and Arsenal hero Ray Parlour will draw the 70 balls from round one, which includes EFL Cup debutants Salford City following their promotion from the National League last term.
The draw will include all clubs from League One and League Two, as well as 22 sides from the Championship - excluding Cardiff City and Fulham, who join the competition in round two alongside the Premier League clubs not involved in European competitions.
70 EFL Clubs will feature in the Round One draw which will see teams drawn in Northern and Southern sections, as in 2018. Matches are scheduled to take place week commencing 12 August.

“They get an early glimpse of their summer signings and can be a good opportunity for families to get together and watch their local team thanks to how accessible the Cup is.
