Carabao Cup draw LIVE!
The much anticipated quarter-final draw has taken place, with three all-Premier League ties to look forward to before Christmas. Arsenal’s reward for beating Brighton is a London derby at home to Crystal Palace which means another reunion for Eberechi Eze and his former club.
Chelsea edged out Wolves at Molineux and have been paired with the lowest-ranked side left in the competition Cardiff after they saw off a fightback from Wrexham to earn bragging rights in the all-Welsh affair on Tuesday night. Brentford were among the first three names in the hat after making easy work of Grimsby Town and will face a daunting trip to Manchester City who came from behind to beat Swansea.
Completing the draw was the holders Newcastle after they knocked out Tottenham. Another home tie awaits the Magpies as they will welcome Fulham to St James’ Park. The Cottagers had to come from behind and then win a nervy penalty shootout at Wycombe to secure their spot. Follow back coverage below of the draw for the quarter-finals of the 2025-26 Carabao Cup!

Fish volley earns Welsh bragging rights for Cardiff over Wrexham
21:25 , Alex YoungWill Fish's thumping volley secured League One side Cardiff a spot in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals as Wrexham were punished for their poor performance in Tuesday's all-Wales encounter.
The Red Dragons' dreams of reaching the last eight of the competition for the first time since 1978 went up in smoke as the ambitious Championship outfit fell to a disheartening defeat at a subdued SToK Cae Ras.
Wrexham substitute Kieffer Moore equalised against his former club, who had deservedly led through Yousef Salech, but Cardiff were not to be denied as Fish's fizzing finish earned a 2-1 victory in the sides' first meeting in 21 years.
The Bluebirds are in the quarter-final draw for the first time since they reached the 2011-12 final following a triumph to cherish in north Wales.
Wrexham were booed at the break after Phil Parkinson's side put in a ponderous first-half display in which Salech scored an early opener and the impressive Rubin Colwill struck a free-kick off the crossbar.
Substitute Moore's towering header breathed new life into the hosts, but Fish's strike ensured there was no memorable comeback story for the next series of 'Welcome to Wrexham'.

Fulham survive huge scare to dump out Wycombe
21:12 , Alex YoungFulham survived a mighty scare to edge past Wycombe 5-4 on penalties to progress to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals after a 1-1 draw at Adams Park.
Josh King scored his first goal in senior football to equalise for the Premier League side at the start of the second half after Cauley Woodrow netted in the fourth minute against his former club.
The League One side then held out as Marco Silva's team put them under waves of pressure, surviving a heart-stopping moment deep in added time when Anders Hagelskjaer cleared Kevin's strike off the line.
In the shoot-out that followed, Fulham twice missed the chance to win it as Ryan Sessegnon and Jonah Kusi-Asare were denied by goalkeeper Will Norris.
But the hosts could not take advantage and after Donnell McNeilly's kick was saved by Benjamin Lecomte, Issa Diop thumped in the winner.

Brentford thump giant-killers Grimsby
21:00 , Alex YoungBrentford cruised into the last eight of the Carabao Cup with a clinical 5-0 win at Blundell Park that ended Grimsby's impressive run in the competition.
The Mariners famously beat Manchester United here in the second round and saw off Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in round three, but a raucous crowd was subdued by two goals in five first-half minutes as the Bees established a 3-0 lead at the interval.
Mathias Jensen opened the scoring from 20 yards, Keane Lewis-Potter headed home a second and Reiss Nelson effectively put the tie to bed before the break.
Fabio Carvalho, thought to be keen on a move away from the club, added a fourth from the penalty spot and substitute Nathan Collins headed in a fifth.
Keith Andrews' side will now have their sights on reaching a first major cup final after a professional display from a side showing nine changes from their Premier League win over Liverpool at the weekend.
