Carabao Cup: Dates confirmed for quarter-final, semi-finals and final

The dates for the remaining Carabao Cup games have been confirmed.

The competition has now reached the quarter-final stage, with six Premier League sides and two League One clubs making up the final eight.

Manchester United will welcome Colchester to Old Trafford, while Manchester City will take on fellow League One minnows Oxford United at the Kassam in the last eight.

David James and Zoe Ball conducted the draw on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday morning, with the quarter-final ties scheduled to take place on the week commencing 16 December 2019.

The first-leg of the semi-finals will take place on the week commencing 6 January 2020, with the second-legs will then take place on the week commencing 27 January 2020.

The final, which as always, will be played at Wembley, is scheduled for Sunday 1 March 2020.

Elsewhere in the draw, Everton will welcome Leicester City to Goodison Park and Aston Villa will take on Liverpool at Villa Park.

Any games involving Liverpool, however, are set to be moved due to their involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar.

The EFL confirmed on Thursday morning that they were working with Liverpool to find an alternative date for their last eight tie to take place on.
