Cara Delevingne 'frustrated' as she’s forced to queue at Paris Fashion Week after not being recognised

Cara Delevingne faced an awkward moment at Paris Fashion Week when she was briefly held up outside Stella McCartney’s runway show after not being recognised by security.

The 33-year-old supermodel attempted to make her way inside Tuesday’s show but found herself stuck in line with other attendees.

In footage obtained by Daily Mail, she eventually edged towards the front, telling the crowd: “Ok, I’m just going to walk in, it’s getting crazy.”

However her attempt didn’t go quite to plan.

When asked for a QR code by the ticket inspector, one of Delevingne’s team clarified she didn’t have one.

Looking surprised, the model added: “This is just crazy.”

Eventually, Delevingne lifted her sunglasses to reveal her face and asked: “Can I go in?”

The guard quickly apologised, saying: “Oh, sorry, yes go in,” before letting her through.

She was later seen queuing again, this time in the guests’ line, where she waited patiently before being seated next to Dame Helen Mirren on the front row.

The star joined a host of big names at the show, including Paris Jackson, Jenna Coleman, Woody Harrelson and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Stella, who is the daughter of Beatles hitmaker Paul McCartney, unveiled her Spring/Summer 2026 collection during her latest show in the French capital.

Over the past two years, Delevingne’s career has soared with major fashion campaigns and a string of glamorous red-carpet appearances.

Yet the model and actress, who has fronted campaigns for Burberry and walked runways for Chanel, has admitted she once doubted her place in the fashion world.

She worried her distinctive features might hold her back, confessing: “I never thought people would actually want me to be a model. I was a very weird gremlin, awkward-looking child.”

Despite being a regular in designer gowns today, Delevingne revealed she was never drawn to glamour growing up.

“I was a feral kid, a big tomboy,” she told The Sun. “Beauty wasn’t important at all and in a way, it still isn’t.”
