Car wrecked after leaving M60 and smashing into trees in huge crash

A motorist walked away unharmed after a horror crash on the M60.

The white Volkswagen Golf came off the motorway and into some trees on the side of the anti-clockwise carriageway near Simister Island in Bury.

Police said that the car clipped other vehicles before crashing into some trees.

The crash caused the Golf's engine to be removed, officers said.

There were no reported injuries and a recovery vehicle is on its way to take away the Golf.
