A car with tax expired for nearly four years has been seized by gardai.
The driver of the vehicle had no insurance, no NCT and an expired driving licence.
Gardai in the Laois Roads Policing Unit made the discovery during a routine patrol on the Co Laois and Co Carlow border.
The Hyundai was then seized by officers after they found the tax was expired for a staggering 1,434 days.
A garda spokesman said: "Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrols around Laois/Carlow border today discovered driver using a vehicle whose tax expired over 1400 days ago.
"Driver also had no Insurance or NCT along with an expired Driving License. Vehicle seized."
