Car torched in deliberate fire on Clydebank road as police launch appeal

A investigation has been launched after a vehicle was torched in Clydebank.

The wilful fire occurred at around 3.55am yesterday (Saturday, March 13) on Taylor Street.

Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward as part of their inquiries.

Detective Constable Adam McCreery, of Clydebank CID, said: “I am asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

“In addition, anyone who was driving in the East Barns Street and Argyll Road area around the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage that would help with our investigation is asked to call us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0590 of 13 March, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
