Car snared on M8 with £3k cocaine and cannabis drugs haul

Traffic cops seized more than £3,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis after swooping on a car on the M8 yesterday.

Officers pulled over the vehicle at junction 25 in Cardonald, Glasgow, shortly before 6.25pm.

A 30 year-old man has been arrested and charged.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 6.25pm on Wednesday, 31 December, 2020, road policing officers stopped a car on the M8 at J25 Cardonald.

"Officers recovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis, with an estimated street value of £3,300, and a quantity of cash.

"A 30 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this recovery and is subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal."
