A car smashed into side of a tram in Wythenshawe on Friday morning.
Passengers were taken off the Metrolink following the collision, which took place near to the Northern Moor Tram stop at 10.10am.
Images taken from the scene show the side of the tram dented by the impact of the smash.
It is unknown if there were any reports of injuries.
Metrolink services were temporarily suspended between Roundthorn and Sale Water Park.
Services are now running again between the two stations, however there are some minor delays.
A spokesman for Transport for Greater Manchester said: "There was a road traffic collision between a car and a tram.
"It stopped services operating between Roundthorn and Sale Water Park.
"A car was removed from the tracks.
"Services have now resumed with minor delays."
