Extraordinary pictures show a car amidst piles of rubble and books after it smashed through a library wall causing devastating damage.
The two occupants of the car, believed to be an elderly couple, went right through the wall and then then found themselves locked inside the library, reported HampshireLive.
Hardley firefighters were called at 11:14am on Sunday morning to the incident at the Hythe library in the New Forest, Hampshire.
Books and magazines were sent flying by the incident – with images showing bricks, chairs and rubble strewn across the floor.
The two people who were in the car were able to exit the vehicle, but then found themselves locked within the library building

The Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service crew had to tunnel their way into the building and led the casualties to safety before providing them with Immediate Emergency Care.
Both occupants of the car escaped without any serious injuries, the service said.
The firefighters handed the casualties over to South Central Ambulance Service paramedics, before making the scene safe by stabilising the vehicle.

The incident was handed over to Hampshire Constabulary before the crew returned to station at 12:19pm but it is not thought to be suspicious.
Hampshire Libraries has said the library is expected to be closed for at least a week following the incident.
It comes after a car smashed into the front of a pensioner’s home leaving a gaping hole in the wall, last week in Birmingham.
Four fire crews, police and paramedics were called to the scene at 8pm on October 11 and administered trauma care to the driver and supported the elderly resident who was inside at the time in Princess Drive, reported Birmingham Live.
The firefighters thanked the 999 caller, who had seen the smash, as he helped with first aid before the emergency services arrived.
