Car smashes into front of Domino's pizza takeaway

A car has smashed into the front of a Domino's pizza takeaway in Altrincham.

Police and fire crews were called to Sinderland Road at 4.30pm on Thursday (August 26) after the car went straight into the front of the shop.

Officers were in attendance for around and hour and twenty minutes to make the scene safe.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 4.30pm on Thursday 26 August, firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving a car that had gone into a shop front on Sinderland Road, Altrincham.

“One fire engine from Altrincham arrived quickly and assisted colleagues from Greater Manchester Police to make the car and scene safe. Crews were in attendance for around 1 hour and 20 minutes.”

Greater Manchester Police have been approached for comment.
