Car seized after driver ploughs into building site

A driver crashed a car into a building site in Liverpool last night.

Police said they were 'initially puzzled' as to how the driver managed to crash into the site, the former Gregsons Well pub on the corner of Low Hill and West Derby Road.

However after speaking to the driver they found out she was a provisional licence holder driving unaccompanied.

Officers said the woman was also driving without L plates on her car.

The driver of the car has been reported and the vehicle has been seized by police.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Road Policing Unit posted a picture of the white car that had been crashed into the fencing around the building site.

They said: "We were initially quite puzzled as to how this driver had managed to crash into this building site.

"We were then less puzzled when we ascertained that she was a Provisional Licence holder driving unaccompanied without L plates. Driver reported and vehicle seized."
