A Holden Commodore SS sedan has been seized and a 23-year-old man summonsed to appear in court after burnout activity in Bonner on Thursday night.

About 7.20pm on Thursday police received multiple calls regarding a vehicle doing burnouts on Mulligans Flat Road, Bonner, on the northernmost edge of the ACT.

As a result of information received from the public, the vehicle and driver were traced to an address in Bonner.

About 30 minutes later, police swooped on the address and seized the blue VE Commodore sedan.

The man will be charged with multiple driving offences and will appear in court at a date to be fixed.

Police thanked the public for the information provided which led to the alleged offender's identification.

The outermost areas of the territory and nearby locations within NSW, including the intersection of Mulligans Flat Road and Sutton Road, between Sutton and Gundaroo, have been the subject of a number of reports of burnout activity in recent months.
