Car rolls over onto Lakefront Trail in Lake View

Police are investigating a rollover crash Friday near Lake Shore Drive in Lake View on the North Side.

The crash was reported about 5:05 a.m. on Lake Shore near Belmont Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.

Responding officers found a car flipped onto its roof on the Lakefront Trail bike path, police said. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
