A car smashed into the side of a building in Lawrence Weston today (Friday, September 26) after rolling down a hill.

Nobody was injured as a result of the incident which took place on De Clifford Road at around 2.30pm.

The Ford Kuga was empty when the vehicle crashed down an embankment and through railings before colliding with a flat.

A witness, who preferred not to be named, said: "They've had to leave the car where it is because of the damage to the side of the building."

Firefighters, police and workers from Bristol City Council attended the incident.

An Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One appliance from Avonmouth attended.

"A Ford Kuga had rolled back into the flat.

"There was only minor damage, we were just there to make sure everything was safe.

"We handed the incident over to police and Bristol City Council."
