Car registration plates stolen from vehicle twice in six months in Carrickmines in bizarre theft

A car's registration plates have been stolen in a Dublin housing estate - for the second time in six months.

The bizarre theft happened in the Carrickmines area when the front and rear plates from a car were stolen from an overground car park.

And in an attempt to make people aware of the incident, it has been shared on a local group.

The owner of the car is now appealing for anyone who may have any information to get in touch.

They said: "Our car's front and rear registration plates have been stolen for the 2nd time in 6 months from the Carrickmines Green area (surface parking).

"We have reported to Gardai and we have requested CCTV from our estate management.

"We do not know if they are/have been used for crime purposes or if it’s just vandalism. If anyone saw anything we’d be very grateful for any information."
