Police are investigating after a car bizarrely rammed into a set of gates outside a school in the early hours of the morning. Gwent Police is investigating a report of alleged criminal damage following the incident which has been caught on camera outside White Rose Primary School in New Tredegar in Caerphilly borough.
The force has now appealed for help with its investigation. It posted on its social media channels on Friday afternoon: "A car, an Alfa Romeo, was driven into the main gates of White Rose Primary by an unknown person on Saturday, March 25 at around 5.50am. The school site was not accessed but the gates were damaged before the car left the area."
Footage shows the vehicle colliding with the gates at speed before reversing away. The gates appear damaged but remain intact in the video.
The force has asked anyone who thinks they can help with its investigation to call them. They said: "Call 101, quoting log 2300097754, or DM us if you have information including CCTV or dashcam."
