A motorist has had a lucky escape after their car plunged into the sea in Ayrshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene next to the A78 in Largs at around 11.40am on Monday.
The vehicle had crashed into a roadside barrier before ending up in the water.
But the driver miraculously escaped with only minor injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called at around 11.40am following reports of a crash where a car ended up in the water by the A78 at Largs.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the car’s recovery is underway. The driver suffered what appeared to be minor injuries.”
