Car ploughs into Glasgow shop after three-vehicle smash on busy street

A car smashed into the front of a Glasgow shop after colliding with three vehicles on a busy street last night.

Emergency services raced to Londis on Castlemilk Road, at the city's border with Rutherglen, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, January 14.

Pictures from the scene show a black Audi having crashed into the front of the shop causing significant damage to the doorway after hitting the wall, reports Glasgow Live.

An ambulance was also on the scene, however, it is believed no one was taken to hospital following the crash. Recovery was organised for the cars involved.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving three cars on Castlemilk Road, Rutherglen, around 7.30pm on Saturday, January 14.

“Emergency services attended and recovery was arranged for the vehicles.”
