A car was 'petrol bombed' in Liverpool last night and a man was seen running from the scene.
Emergency services were called to reports of a white Volkswagen Tiguan on fire at Sandicroft Road, Croxteth, at around 10.55pm on Wednesday, July 14.
Police confirmed this morning that they are treating the incident as a suspected arson.

A witness who saw the car fire said he heard about the incident and "ran round" to make sure a friend was okay after hearing about a "petrol bomb."
It was reported that a man ran away from the scene in the direction of Croxteth Country Park.
He is described as of slim build, wearing a blue medical mask and a grey tracksuit.

Merseyside Police confirmed officers are investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Inspector Gavin Mulchay said: "Although, thankfully, nobody was hurt during the incident, deliberately setting fire to a car is extremely reckless and we are determined to find the person responsible and bring them to justice.
"If you were in the Croxteth area last night or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, please let us know. Likewise, if you have any CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist with the investigation, please get in touch so we can take action and find those responsible.
"Whether you contact us directly or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers, rest assured, your information will be acted upon.”
Merseyside Fire and Rescue attended the scene and cordoned off the area surrounding the car, a white VW.
They extinguished the fire and nobody was injured however 'significant damage was caused to the vehicle.'
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the ECHO: "[We were] called to Sandicroft Road, Liverpool, on Wednesday 14 th July.
"Crews were alerted at 11pm and on scene at 11.08pm. One fire engine attended.
"On arrival crews found a vehicle to be well alight. Crews used high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"Fire crews left the scene at 00.12am."
