The A58 Leeds inner ring road was hit with long queues this morning (Monday) after a car lost control and flipped onto its side.
The incident happened at around 11am in the tunnel prior to the Westgate turn-off on the carriageway heading out of Leeds toward the Armley gyratory roundabout.
The driver of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries. There was only one vehicle involved, and police were forced to close one lane to recover the car.
As a result, there were long tailbacks of traffic heading back towards the junction with Clay Pit Lane.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that at 11:45pm, the road had been cleared.
