Missing man found after 'unattended' car discovered at Scots loch by cops

An urgent police search has been launched to find a man reported missing after his car was discovered parked unattended at a loch in the Highlands.

David Bennett was last seen and spoken to at around 9pm on Sunday October 23, in the Scotsburn Court of Tain.

But the 60-year-old has failed to make contact since with his black Peugeot 2008 - registration KJ18 VFU - found at Loch Assynt.

Officers have released a photograph of Mr Bennett and his motor in a bid to jog people's memories. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.

Police Sergeant Harry Milton of Alness Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of David and would appeal to anyone who may know where he is to contact us.
