A car has been left wrecked and a busy road was closed after a road traffic collision.
The A469, between Ystrad Mynach and Llanbradach, was temporarily closed off, while police posted a picture of the damaged car on the side of the road.
Gwent Police said in a tweet: "Emergency Services are dealing with a Road Traffic Collision Southbound on the A469 between Ystrad Mynach and Llanbradach. The road is closed and diversions are in place which may cause congestion.
"Please avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes for your journey."
The Welsh Ambulance service confirmed they were called to the scene of a "single vehicle RTC" at 4.30pm but there were no injuries to report.
A spokesperson for the service said: "We did attend but there were no injuries and we didn't convey anybody to hospital."
The road has since re-opened, and Gwent Police tweeted: "Officers have now dealt with the Road Traffic Collision on the A469 Southbound between Ystrad Mynach and Llanbradach and the road has been re-opened."
