Car left melted in Hogmanay fire as police launch probe into Bo'Ness blaze

Cops are probing a fire which left a car melted away in a Scots town on Hogmanay.

Emergency services raced to the incident at around 11.10pm on Saturday night in Drumacre Road, Bo’Ness, a few miles east of Falkirk.

A photograph of the damaged car shows the back end badly melted away by the flames.

There were no reports of any injuries as a result of the fire.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 11.10pm on Saturday, 31 December, 2021 following the report of a car on fire on Drumacre Road, Bo’ness.

“Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished safely by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no injuries.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
