Car left mangled wreck after smashing into parked vehicles and lamp post before flipping over

A car was left a mangled wreck after it ploughed into four parked vehicles, hit a lamppost and flipped over.

Emergency services were called to the smash on High Street East, in Glossop, at around 7am on Tuesday morning.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital.

In a tweet, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said the man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The force shared images of the aftermath of the collision showing the vehicle very badly damaged on its roof in the centre of the road.

It also appeared to have smashed up windows and bent doors.
