Car left facing wrong direction in fail-to-stop M5 crash

A car was left facing the wrong direction in a fail to stop crash on the M5, police say.

Avon and Somerset Police has issued an appeal for witnesses following an accident involving a Renault Clio and what has been described as a large white car on the M5 last night.

Police say the crash happened on the northbound carriageway of the Almondsbury Interchange at 6.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 7 October).

The Clio was left facing in the wrong direction in the crash which did not result in injuries.

Police are keen to speak to the driver of the white car, who left the scene without stopping to provide their details.

It’s thought that the car had front end damage and blue paint transfer as a result of the collision.

Anyone with information that could help identify the driver is asked to call 101 quoting reference 5220227728.
