Car leaves huge hole in wall after smashing into B&M Bargains

A car crashed into a shop in Wythenshawe, leaving a huge hole in one of the brick walls.

A man rammed a vehicle into B&M Bargains at the Civic Centre at around 5.55am on Saturday.

Pictures taken at the scene show a large hole in the brick wall.

It's unknown whether the man was hurt.

A member of staff at the store said it was open for business as normal.

"There was an incident last night," a spokesman for the store said.

"The store is open and trading."

Greater Manchester Police said the incident was captured on CCTV.

A spokesperson for the force said: "At around 5.55am on Saturday 18 January 2020 police were called to a report that a car had collided with a building in Wythenshawe.

"CCTV footage revealed that a man had drove into a store at the Wythenshawe Civic centre."
