Stockport-headquartered car leasing firm Vehicle Consulting UK has acquired a Yorkshire-based competitor, it has announced.
Vehicle Consulting was established in 1995 and provides car and van leasing, personal contract hire and fleet management solutions.
The company said operations at New Car Deals have now fully merged with its own head office, where it has a team of 23 staff.
Vehicle Consulting’s managing director Lee Wolstenholme said: “This represents a significant step forward in the realisation of our business’ expansion plans.
“The board, which includes key investor Andrew Brode, is eyeing growth through acquisition, investment and the recruitment of experienced people into its team.”
Mr Wolstenholme said the car-leasing industry was “undergoing some of the most significant changes ever seen”, involving the phasing out of diesel and petrol cars.
He said: “We are moving our business forward and preparing well in advance for those changes.
“With secure funding lines in place, we are actively looking for more opportunities to expand our fleet business, to meet the needs of future generations of business motorists.”
He continued: “New Car Deals had a great reputation in the market, especially with its customer service provision.
"We have been able to bring some of that expertise over to Stockport, to further strengthen our team here.”
