Car lands on roof rollowing crash in Tameside

A car ended up on its roof following a crash in Tameside.

Officers attended the incident, on Greenside Lane in Droylsden, just before midnight on Saturday (July 4).

Pictures from the scene show a Seat car on its roof on the pavement.

The car is also thought to have hit a lamp post.

Firefighters were also present at the scene following the collision.

People in the car are understood to have been hurt, but police said they do not believe their injuries to be serious.

It's not clear if any arrests were made.

The M.E.N. has approached the North West Ambulance Service for comment.

Greenside Lane was closed at its junctions with Shakespeare Road to Ash Tree Avenue while investigations into the crash continued.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 11.40pm on Saturday 4 July 2020, police were called to reports of a collision on Greenside Lane, Droylsden.

"Officers attended."
