Car lands on roof after crash near Redfield school

A car landed on its roof following a crash near a school in Redfield.

Ambulance crews were called to the collision scene in Blackswarth Road earlier this morning, just down the road from Saint Patricks Catholic Primary School.

The road was closed by police while the woman was removed from the car and taken to Southmead Hospital for a check over.

The car involved was cleared from the middle of the road by a lorry while police officers remained at the scene.

A spokeswoman for South Western Ambulance Service confirmed the patient received no serious injuries as a result of the crash.

"We took the patient to Southmead Hospital to be checked over, but fortunately there appeared to be no serious injuries."
