Car lands on its side after smashing into wall in Rochdale

A car landed on its side after ploughing into the wall of a bungalow in Rochdale.

Photos from the scene show the car surrounded by firefighters following the smash on Manchester Road on Friday.

Street signs were also damaged, a fire service spokesman said.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were scrambled to the scene just before midday.

The road was taped off between Royal Barn Road and Queensway.

Two people were inside the vehicle, but managed to get out by the time fire crews arrived.
