Car flips onto roof on Scots street over Easter weekend as cops probe late-night crash

A car flipped onto its roof following a crash on a busy street in Fife over the bank holiday weekend.

Cops were called to reports of a smash on Union Street, Cowdenbeath, at around 11pm on Easter Sunday.

A photo taken at the scene shows the aftermath, with a black vehicle lying completely upside down outside houses and beside a row of parked cars.

It is not yet known what caused the crash.

It is understood no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Officers have confirmed they are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the smash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "Officers attended a crash involving one vehicle on Union Street, Cowdenbeath at around 11pm on Sunday, 17 April, 2022.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
