Car flips onto roof in Meath rollover collision

A car was flipped onto its roof in a car crash in Co Meath last night.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Flemmington Road, Gormanston at around 8.20 pm.

Two cars collided at a junction resulting in one of the cars being overturned.

Drivers of both the vehicles were assessed by ambulance services.

The scene was attended by gardai, Dublin Fire Brigade, and Meath Fire Service.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are investigating a two vehicle road traffic collision that occurred in Gormanston, Co. Meath yesterday evening, Tuesday 19 th October 2021 at 8.20pm.

"Two vehicles collided at a junction on Flemmington Road. One car overturned as a result of the collision. The drivers of both vehicles were assessed by ambulance services at the scene.

"Investigations are ongoing."

Dublin Fire Brigade shared pictures of the crash with the caption: "Firefighters from Balbriggan fire station co-responded with @MCCFireService Ashbourne to a roll over road traffic collision this evening.

"We often work in partnership with other agencies if assistance is required."
