Car flips onto roof in horror single vehicle crash on rural Scots road

A man has been charged with driving offences after a car flipped onto its side on a rural Scots road.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Torbain Road, between Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly in Fife, at around 1.40pm on Sunday.

The grey vehicle was badly damaged after crashing on a bend but no one is reported to have suffered any serious injuries during the collision.

A 44-year-old man has since been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and charged with road traffic offences.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 1.40pm on Sunday, 20 December, officers were called to the Torbain Road area of Kirkcaldy following a report of a crash involving one car.

“There were no reported serious injuries and a 44-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
