Car flips onto roof in horror crash in Glasgow as cops shut road

Emergency services raced to the scene of a horror crash in Glasgow tonight that saw a vehicle left upside down.

Police were called to Tantallon Road at its junction with Langside Avenue in the city's Shawlands area around 4.35pm on January 15.

The male driver was taken to hospital to be checked over. His condition is not known at this time.

Pictures from the scene show the silver car on its roof by the side of the road.

Debris can be seen strewn across the residential street and next to the vehicle which has mounted the pavement.

Officers from Police Scotland are currently on the scene with one side of the busy road shut off while they deal with the incident

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.35pm on Friday, 15 January, officers were called to a report of a car overturned on Tantallon Road.

"Police and Ambulance attended and the male driver was taken to hospital to be checked over."
