A car flipped onto it's roof and ended up in a water-filled ditch in Aberdeenshire.
The crash sparked grave concern for the owner of the vehicle.
The silver motor was seen on its roof and submerged in a ditch on the B993 near the Bridge of Ton close to Kemnay yesterday.
Locals say they investigated the crash scene, but found the car empty.
Dramatic pictures which appeared online show the vehicle with the door flung open - as though someone has escaped from the collision.
Police have since confirmed that that nobody was injured during the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a single vehicle on the B993 near the Bridge of Ton close to Kemnay around 2.40pm on Saturday, 20 February.
"Nobody was injured and the owner arranged recovery of the vehicle."
