Car flips on its roof and ploughs into traffic lights

Police were unable to locate the driver of a car after it flipped on its roof and crashed into a set of traffic lights.

The incident happened in the centre of Eastwood, near the Sun Inn, and debris from the vehicle and the pedestrian crossing was left strewn across the road.

A traffic light pole collapsed to the floor following the impact from the crash.

No arrests have been made, police say.

A force spokesman added: "Nottinghamshire Police were called shortly after midnight on 13 March 2020 following a report a collision between the Sun Inn pub in Kelham Way, Eastwood.

"A car has flipped on its roof and traffic lights were knocked over."
