Car flips in Swords crash as cold weather causes treacherous driving conditions

Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene of a serious road accident in Swords this morning.

A car turned over onto it's roof after the cold weather created dangerous driving conditions.

The accident happened at Lea's Cross on Friday morning and emergency services were called to the scene.

The single car crash left one person with minor injuries.

Dublin Fire Brigade warned drivers to take care in the early mornings.

The cold weather is set to continue this weekend so motorists are urged to be extra careful on roads.

Two more collisions were reported on the M50 this afternoon.

There was one crash between Junction 5 Finglas and Junction 6 Blanchardstown.

The second crash happened between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Lucan.

Both collisions have now been cleared.
